Continuing Al-Andalus Property’s successful performance in the shopping malls sector, Al-Andalus Mall achieved operational growth in 2018 compared to 2017, with a visitor turnout of 13.5 million, despite the challenges affecting regional shopping malls.
This prompted Al-Andalus Property to move forward and enhance its strengths, most notably concluding an agreement with Empire Cinemas to open cinemas, one of the largest in Jeddah with 18 screens. The mall also opened the restaurant area after redesigning and developing it, and received a certificate of completion from the Middle East Council of Shopping Centers. An agreement was also concluded with Saudi Telecom Company, which will enable Al-Andalus Property to accurately analyze and study data, contributing to its knowledge and developing its performance in providing a distinguished shopping experience.
Al-Andalus Mall also hosted several international events, most notably the Acrobatic Show and Exit performances, and hosted the PRAVE21 World Martial Arts Championship presentation. Al-Andalus Mall is owned by AlAhli REIT Fund, with Al-Andalus Real Estate owning 68.73 percent of the fund. Hamat Real Estate Company, the operational arm of Al-Andalus Real Estate, operates and manages the mall, which enjoys a strategic location at the intersection of two vital roads, considered among the most important in Jeddah: King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Road and Prince Majed bin Abdulaziz Road.
